Retrieval

Yami walked in and looked at a stack of paper work. "Oh. . .my. . .god!" He ignored it after a while and sat in a chair waiting for Kaida to enter. He looked out the window watching over the village. He remembered his family and smiled. He turned away from the window and started doing his paperwork willingly.

"Glad to see you're finally working," came my voice from behind you.

He jumped throwing the paper up in the air as his hair stood straught on his head. He turned around still frightened. "Don't do that!!!" He leaned back becoming more relaxed then sighed. "Feel like going on a mission?" His face darkened. "A retrieval mission?"

I laughed when I saw that I scared him "Sorry about that," I said walking to the front of the desk. I went over the idea of a retrieval mission in my head "Hmm sure, I've got nothing to do today."

He laughed a little too hard at the acceptance of the mission and handed her the assignment on a sheet of paper.

I took the paper and read it over, a little curious now because of Yami's reaction.

Assignment: Retrieval and Return

Description: A cat is stuck in the tree by the Ichiraku Ramen. Retrieve it and bring it to the old woman near the river.

Reward: 10 Ryo

"You...have got...to be kidding me Yami," I said slamming the paper down "Here I am expecting some big improtant mission and you give me this. Tell me Yami, what anbu goes on D rank missions. Lord Zaine sent me on A and a few S ranked missions. Usually ones involving the kill of large groups of enemies."

"It's a warm up. Flip to the next page." He narrowed his eyes.

I pick the paper back up and fliped to the next page what's he gonna make me do next, clean someone's yard, thought as i read over the second page.

Assignment: Retrieval

Description: A group of bandits have been going around terrorizing villages in the fire country. They kidnapped a young child of a rich family who pays us for missions frequently. They basically hold us up. Retrieve the child and make sure no damage has been done to him. Above all defeat the bandit leader.

Reward: Dependant on your performance.

"Easy, wait does the bandit leader have to be alive," I asked

"I prefer him dead." He leaned back. "Would you like some assistance?"

"I you wanna come you can, it'll only take me about 6 minutes and about 2 jutsus to kill all the bandits," I said smirking

"Who said I was going anywhere?" He laughed.

"Who's coming with me then," I asked.

"A summon of course." He smiled waiting to see if she wanted company.

"Well I could take one of my wolves with me," I said thinking

"Guess you have it under control then." He stood and bowed to her. "Thank you Kaida."

"You're welcome Yami," I said bowing

He sat down and folded his hands on his desk.

I turn and head out of the office.

He watched her leave then stood and started performing handseals.

I made my way for the gate, I didn't really need to take any gear with me.

He placed his hand on the desk and he lifted it revealing a sticky black goo.

At the gate, I'm met by a wolf.

The goo form into a humanlike shape and opens its mouth releasing a low grunt.

"so what are we gonna be doing Kaida," the wolf asked "well first we gotta help a cat then we gotta go save a little boy," I said "a cat, really Kaida," the wolf said

Yami smiled looking at it. It shaped into a bug and flew out the window.

"Hey i know you don't like cats but the sonner we get it the sonner we can save the little kid," I said "Whatever, where is this kid," the wolf asked "He was kidnapped by bandits, we have to go in, kill them, save the boy and make sure n hram comes to him," I said "Heh, childs play," he said "well come on let's go get this cat"

Yami watches the insect fly towards Kaida secretly following her.

We head over to the Ramen shop, "Ok where's that cat," I said looking around "I really don't see why we have to help a cat," the wolf said

The cat was yelping for help looking panicked when it noticed Kaida.

"Found it," I said hopping up into the tree "Careful Kaida, cats aren't as calm and controled as us wolves," the wolf said

The cat scratched at her then jumped down landing perfectly on it's feet.

The wolf sighed "I got it," he said and gently picked the cat up by the scruff of it's neck with his teeth "ok let's return the cat," he said "where to?" "the river, let's go," I said jumping from the tree and walking to the river

The cat scratched the wolfs face and ran off.

"Damn cat," the wolf said taking of after it, I sighed and started forming handsigns "Crystal Style: Crimson fruit," I said and the cat got trapped in a little cystal box "There that's better" I said "and now you know why i hate cats," the wolf said

The cat purred and scratched at the crystal.

I picked up the crystal box with the cat in it and took it to it's owner near the river.

The cat dropped in the crystal and stopped breathing.

"Cat's dead," the wolf said "What the-," I looked at the cat "Damn it you've got to be kidding me," I said

The cat stood again as if nothing had happened and scratched at the crystal again.

"You sneaky little furball," the wolf said. After a while we got to the owners house.

The woman comes out to greet her visitors. She points her finger out and the cat disperses into a cloud of poisonous gas leaking out of the holes in the box. I a group of bandits jump from every opening possible around Kaida and the wolf.

"Shit a trap," the wolf said coughing. I moved my hands and a giant wind blew away all the poison "I like these odds don't you Cloud," I asked the wolf "Heh you know I do," Cloud said and changed into his human form "Let's make this quick I wanna get back home."

The old lady performed a string of seals as a her shadow stretched and covered everything in darkness. The sounds of the bandits feet were heard through the darkness.

-someone was watching from in the top of a tree- hmm....

Cloud and I stood back to back "stay close," I said and started forming handsigns "Crystal style: jade crystal prison," I said and and focused on the sound of the bandits footfalls "There!" I said and each bandit became trapped up to their neck in crystal.

The feet were still heard and a barrage of attacks was released on Kaida and Cloud. "We move with the darkness. There is no way to trap us in this jutsu."
